THE RECIPE:
1/2 cup quinoa
Pinch of long grain wild rice (optional)
1 cup milk of choice (we used almond)
2 dried figs chopped
1/4-1/2 cup fresh coconut chunks chopped
1 chunk of ginger finely chopped (add to preference)
1 handfull of almonds and macadamia nuts (or any nuts you prefer) chopped
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of salt
1-2 apple bananas chopped
1 tablespoon maple syrup
2 bay leaves
1-2 teaspoons ghee
1 tablespoon Maui Medicinal Herbs organic moringa powder
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Chop the coconut, nuts, ginger and bananas.
Add to pot the milk, quinoa, wild rice, cinnamon, ginger, salt, bay leaves and ghee.
Bring them to a boil and let cook for 5-8 minutes.
Stir and lower heat to low simmer for 5 minutes with figs and bananas.
Taste test and add maple syrup to taste for sweetener.
Let cool and add moringa before eating, mixing well. *note with all heated recipes you should add the moringa at the end of cooking as the nutrient content decreases with heat.

Sorry, not sorry. As a kid, getting grounded was dreadful and caused severe cases of "fomotosis," but with age being grounded somehow transformed into an elusive treat.
